Finance and Legal
Transfer tax is always needed to transfer freehold ownership to the purchaser. The transfer tax for a property over 100,000 CY Pounds is 8% of the purchase price.
Stamp duty and other taxes to add; when buying, as mentioned above, on average you add 10-12% of the property price to cover them.
Mortgage
Mortgages can be arranged through all commercial banks in Cyprus. The amount ranges from 60-80% of the value of the property. The payment is usually over 20 years.
